Filip Jabbour is the current CEO of GroupM MENA. Appointed in June 2015, Filip is responsible for developing GroupM’s strategy and accelerating the growth of its agencies Mindshare, MEC, MediaCom, BPG Maxus and Xaxis across the Middle East and North Africa region.
Filip leads operations to leverage GroupM’s scale and accelerate development of media agency offerings with focus on developments in digital, technology and data management, as well as partnerships with media, entertainment and sports rights owners to create additional value and drive advantages for clients.
Prior to joining GroupM MENA, Filip spent the first 21 years of his career at SMG, serving multiple roles, including being named the EVP, Global Business Development Director at SMG. During his career, he managed a number of local and multinational assignments across MENA & the US, as well as having had a successful run in international markets, helping to secure big wins like GSK, Emirates Airlines, Tiffany, Haribo, Taco Bell and Coca-Cola.
Filip studied … anything but media, and yet found his calling when he first entered the Leo Burnett Dubai offices back in 1994.
